An old septic tank from the Burley Warehouse was discovered. The plan is to pump it out, break it up, and haul it to the landfill.

Pre-Construction Meeting June 2, 2009
Big Day at AppalCART! a pre-construction meeting for our new facility held in AppalCART's conference room. In attendance: AppalCART's Transportation Director Chris Turner, now going counterclockwise, Architect David Patrick Moses, Municipal Engineering Alan Crees, McCarroll Construction Bob Garren, McCarroll Construction Keith Hensley, McCarroll Constructruction Gerald Davis, ASU Engineer and Project Manager Patrick Beville. By telephone was NCDOT-PTD's Nancy Painter.

David Patrick Moses ended the meeting on a positive note, expressing that it is an exciting day especially for those that have already been involved in getting this far with the new facility plans and emphasizing the importance of teamwork needed throughout the project.
